Ingredients:
- Sooji (Rawa, Semolina) 250gms
- Oil 100 gms
- Sugar 200 gms
- Water 750 ml
- Green cardamon 4
- Milk 2 cups
Method:
- In a heavy bottom pan roast sooji in oil,along with cardamon till a nice aroma of semolina is felt
- Add about 2 cups of milk and stir properly to avoid lumps
- Dissolve sugar in water and make a thin syrup
- Add this syrup to sooji mixture and let it simmer
- Optionally one can add little of red orange colour
- Garnish with almonds and cashews

Ingredients:
- Potato 1 ( Makes about 4 bread rolls)
- Bread slices 4
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Ginger just a bit
- Green chillies 2
- Curry leaves 4-5 leaves
- Mustard seeds 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder 1/4 tbsp
- Coriander powder 1/4 tbsp
- Garam masala powder 1/4 tbsp
- salt to taste
- Coriander leaves for garnishing
- Oil for frying
Here’s the potato mixture which is stuffed in bread slice to form a roll

Method:
- Boil potato ,peel and mash it lightly
- In a pan,heat 1 tbsp of oil,and add pounded garlic and ginger, then add curry leaves and mustard seeds
- Saute till garlic turns light brown,then add turmeric powder,coriander powder,garam masala powder,and mix well
- Add mashed potatoes,salt,chopped green chillies,and mix well .you can also add boiled peas
- Cook on low flame for about a minute,garnish with coriander leaves
- Let the mixture cool a bit
- Take a bowl of water,add some red chilly powder and a dash of lemon juice(optional)
- Dip a bread slice in this water ,then remove immediately and squeeze it gently in between your palms,place the potato mixture in centre of bread slice and fold it from sides
- Cover from sides in such a way that it forms a shape of a roll
- Repeat procedure for all mixture
- Add one roll at a time in hot oil and fry till crisp golden brown
- The health conscious people can try out making roasted sandwiches or toasters instead of fried rolls, using same stuffing(as shown in picture)
- Enjoy this delicious and hot favourite of kids ,with ketchup or chutney of your choice

Ingredients:
2 slice of bread
1 small cup gramflour
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder as per taste
A pinch of baking soda
Water
Oil for frying
Method:
- Make a basic flour batter ,by mixing gramflour,salt,red chilly powder,soda and water.It’s consistency should be thick enough to coat bread pieces
- Cut the slice in any shape viz; square,rectangle ,triangle etc
- If green chutney is available ,you can apply a little of it on bread slice before dipping it in batter,it provides a tangy taste to pakoras
- Dip them in flour batter and fry in hot oil till golden brown
- Serve immediately with ketchup or chutney

Ingredients:
- Petho(pumpkin) 250 gms
- Onion 1
- Tomato 1
- Green chillies 2-3
- Ginger
- Salt as per taste
- Turmeric powder 1/4 tspn
- Coriander powder 1 tspn
- Red chilly powder optional
- Garam masala powder 1/4 tspn
- Oil 2 tspn
Method:
- Peel and chop pumpkin
- Peel and finely chop onion
- Take some oil in pressure cooker,saute the onions till light brown in colour
- Then add chopped tomatoes,green chillies,ginger and mix well
- Add diced pumpkin ,salt,dry masalas and mix well
- Now add a little of water and close the lid of pressure cooker,wait for two whistles
- Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve it with plain rice or roti
