Hello everyone,

For those who are fed up of the same pictureย  staring at you since past few weeks, whenever you visit Sindhirasoi (This means I am expecting some of you to drop in few times just to check..lol), here is something different to look at to ๐Ÿ™‚

Dear Friends, Visitors, Well wishers and lurkers , Thanks for being around and keeping in touch . I owe so much to all of those who kept writing to me and updated me with all the happenings around. I am flattered with the Emails and Chats , comments and Face bookย  and Twitter messages and wish this never ends.

Regarding updates, then Hey , our new Home is almost done, and its just matter of few days ,when we will beย  finally able to settle down (Keeping Fingers Crossed). And it goes without saying that I am super excited about the shifting, though it would mean more work for us, but I am geared up for that.

On that note, I take your leave now, hoping to be charged up to start blogging again soon.Wish me luck !

And before I sign off for the day, let me share with you this Typical South Indian Food.Am sure majority of you simply love eating this..what say huh?

  8. Hi Alka
well nice to have a new pic ๐Ÿ™‚
the food looks delicious, let me share with you the Sindhi curry made with lassi, its called Khatio (its traditionally made with khatti lassi that is why the name is khaatio). This is different from the yoghurt curry they make in northern India with termeric powder etc. This is a simple curry and delicious too. Bon Appettite ๐Ÿ™‚

1 tsp garlic paste (or better use half bulb of garlic in flake shape because paste burns easily)
    3 Tsp oil
    1/4 tsp cumin seeds
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 chili powder
1 cup yoghurt (or 2 glasses of lassi (buttermilk)
    2 Tsp of flour

Mix flour (atto) and yoghurt with spoon or whisk
saute some garlic in oil and cumin seeds, when garlic is light brown, add chili powder, salt and pour the flour yoghurt paste.
Stir properly, when thick like kheerni (rice pudding) which takes about 20 min. at medium heat, slow heat is better though.

  9. Hope you get settled down soon, enjoy your new home ๐Ÿ™‚
